Fluke 787 Loop Check

Boiler Control Panel Loop Check

Boiler Loop Checks

When building a new boiler control system there are two loop checks that need to be performed. The first is during the factory acceptance test (FAT) and involves using a switch box, 4-20mA signal generator and digital multimeter to verify the panel wiring and program function are correct as per design specifications and the original project specification. The second is after the control panel has been installed and consists of checking the field wiring and termination points.

Having an experienced boiler field service engineer perform these tasks will ensure everything goes smoothly during startup. The experience level of the field service engineer is directly related to time spent performing the loop checks and cost for startup. There is also a level of safety that is inherited from utilizing multiple loop checks.

Collins Combustion has the experience level to perform this task easily. The same service engineer that performs the loop checks will follow the project the rest of the way through to completion.
